Default Remodeling from the frame up

I want to start a business bying old house trailers and the lot, then strip it down to the frame and rebuild it with my own design. Has anyone done this or have any information on if it can be done?

Are you referring to manufactured homes? You may want to do some specific checking because those are recorded by serial number and are not usually considered a fixed structure. You could remodel it the way you suggest but then be unable to sell it because the banks won't finance it anymore.

That would be my concern with it.

They are alot different than remodeling a house. My girlfriend lives in one and we are currently doing the bathroom. I have done alot of remodeling in houses but this is a whole nother world. Seems like everything you do is twice the work as a normal house. Also they are not worth as much as a normal house so in my opinion you won't be able to get the money you will have to invest in them back.

Ditto!!

The project may be fun, but not a money maker. Probably a money loser.

Put your time, effort and money into buying a real house and there you can make a profit.
