Default Help - Reworking table legs

So, I've originally designed this table like a folding card table, but I'm not happy with the "heavy duty" hinges I bought. Even though I haven't yet put on the folding suport hinges, I don't think they will be enough to stabalize the table.

So, now I'm wondering about how to best install removable table legs even though I've already finished installing the rails. See pic. Rails are 2x2 joined at the ends with an open tennon/mortise.

The legs are also 2x2 with the bottom 12" tapered on two sides.

Any ideas on how to best do this?

Perhaps the hinges you have reinforced with removable stretchers or aprons? If your intent is to use this as a table for card playing and such, my choice would be removable aprons (a sliding dovetail or something of that nature) since a stretcher wouldn't allow seats to slide under the table. I'm guessing this table will spend most of it's time folded up?

Ok, now I'm curious. I hope you'll show us when it's done.
