Question adhesive question

I was wondering if anyone had any advise on adhesives. I need to bond a few pieces of maple to the inside of a cabinet. I am going to be using the maple pieces to hold drawer slides. Thanks in advance.

What is the cabinet made of? If it is plywood, particleboard, fiberboard, etc I'd just use carpenters glue (aliphatic resin, yellow glue) If the cabinet is melamine epoxy resin glues work a little better.

A little more info would be nice.

It is melamine so I need some that will hold. I am not going to be able to clamp it so I need something with fast curing time. Thanks

Usually we use a melamine glue called Roo glue. Unfortunately I don't think it will dry as fast as you would like. You could shoot in a couple of brads in conjunction with the glue. You can find this glue at most hardwood dealers.

You could use a solvent based contact cement, or a quick set two part epoxy.
