Default question about finishing

I'm building a set of bathroom cabinets for the Carribean, The door fronts are to be built from mahogany lattice. I've built a jig, (MDF and hardwood strips) to keep the lattice consistent, but it will have to be glued and braded together. I don't want any excess glue to cause a problem for the finishers (especially in the hard to sand areas inside the lattice work), nor do I want the lattice work to stick to the jig. I'm wondering if there's a product that can be applied to the jig that won't effect the finish when the lattice is removed. Any suggestions?

WELCOME TO THE FORUM

We may not be on the same page, but I'm thinkin' either waxed paper, or paraffin (wax).

Thought about paraffin but reluctant. I'm afraid that the wax residue will get trapped in hard to remove areas of the lattice work and give the finishers a fit. Wax paper may do the trick, will give a try. thanks

I have found wax paper to be "hit and miss" and it tears easy. Being in the food industry I found "parchment paper" to be a great replacement for the wax paper.

Good luck

Painters tape works great and is easy to remove.
