Default Preventing orange/yellow look

I am finishing some oak cabinets and would like to know the best product available to ensure that they will not turn orange or yellow over time. I have heard many different opinions and would like to hear from someone that has used a product multiple times where there were no cases of yellowing of finish. So far, I am hearing that a water based product is the best as opposed to oil and that CAP lacquer is probably the best bet. I stripped all of the old varnish off as I can't stand the orange effect. The kitchen faces the south so it gets a lot of sunlight. I want to ensure that I am using the right finish product so I don't have to do this again. Thanks.

I would use a uv stabilized laquer finish. Water based poly will also achieve the non yellowing finish you desire, but might break down overtime due to the sunlight exposure.

M.L.Campell makes a clear non yellow finish called Krystal. Its a post catalized finish and it has to be sprayed on but it has no amber added to it like most. It's also good for kitchens ,bathrooms, and table tops.

I would suggest waterbased polyurethane.

Default Sherwin Williams Pre-Cat Lacquer

I have had very good luck with it. Lacquer has been the furniture manufacturers choice of finish for the last 80 years. It should not yellow over time. It has the typical amber tint to it which I feel adds life to wood especially if the oak is natural.
