Default Polyeurethane

I made a cabinet out of red oak and have put 3 coats of poly oil base on it and after the second coat I sanded it with 220.Then put on a third coat.Is there some limit to the amout of coats to put on it cause I want a real smooth glossy finish. When I get it close then I was gonna spry the last coat.Itchy

I don't believe there is a limit as long as you let it cure properly between coats.
