Default Poly Question +

If I have a select pine table I've created with a Minwax stain only on the top do I need to seal the bottom of the table as well as the top?

I'm concerning about warping/cupping over time since I ended up using several larger sizes of wood, ie. 2", 6", 10", 6", 2" when I edge joined them. If it matters I also used biscuits when I joined the boards.

Thanks

If you have only applied stain to the top you have not sealed it either -no matter what the can says.

That's absolutely correct. The Minwax label says: "Stains And Seals". A bunch of bull puckey. If they thought that saying "It Makes Your Lunch Too" would further make you buy it, they would also put that on the label. As for a stain, it ain't half bad.
