Default paint over wb polycrylic?

I am in the process of building a piece that has several doors and several open cubbies. The open cubbies i painted and clearcoated but after assembly i need to touch-up some areas that got beat up. Can i just t-up the requierd areas over the clear coat then re-coat with poly? Thanks much for the replys on my first post. Im a newbie to the site and like it!

Jimmy,
I don't really understand what you are trying to do...

My guess is that you painted something and then protected it with Minwax Polycrylic. Now, you have the need to touch up some holidays in the Polycrylic coat.

Yeah, sand the area with 220 and feather the edges of the holidays so that they are smooth. (i.e. No step between the two coats) Then touch up with thinned (Use DISTILLED water) Polycrylic. (75% Polycrylic to 25% Distilled Water) Then after everything has dryed, sand the surface and coat the entire surface again.
