Default how to store oil

What is the best way to store tung oil? When I use tung oil I pour it from the metal can that it comes in into a glass jar so then i can brush it or rub it on. However, over time I notice that the tung oil will dry up in the jar. I have tried two different jars with the same results. How can I best store it so I don't waste it.

Thanks
Derek

I,ve seen sprays that are argon gas that you spray directly into the container. Dont know if they work or not. I did see an intresting plastic container in a lee valley catalog that is collapsible. This collapsible bottle will prevent oxidation It will collapse down as not to store so much air in the container. Check lee valleys web site. I just took a quick look and both items are there.

Default Storing oil

I have tried all kinds of stuff like that in the past and wasn't impressed with it.What I do now and all I use is oil,is try an poor out what I will need, you can always poor some more,if you poor to much, then put it back in the can.I don't like glass jars as if it is in there to long the oil will darken and I try to keep it in a cool place as heat can shorten shelf life.

Store the jar upside down on it's lid. Of course make sure the lid is tight first.

Never tried it but I've been told you can put a piece of celophane on top of the oil in the jar and it won't dry out. Mostly though, I just pour out what I need.
