I am building a bar top that will see lots of use. I am planning on applying small hardwood pieces to an OSB board surface. Most likely using a contact adhesive. Then covering the works with a thick coat of polyurethane.

How should I spread that poly, brush spray or pour.

I have seen a bar that was covered completely in wheat pennies then coated with poly. I was told they just poured it over the pennies. And used a clean straight edge to smooth it out. That's why I was wondering if pouring would work.

Suggestions?

It probably wasn't a poly. It won't build like you want. You need an epoxy. One coat of epoxy equals 50 coats of poly. It's what I used for this top.
