3 step buffing - Woodworking Talk

I just got my 3 step buffer, I gave it a quick test run and it appears good. A couple questions I have are when you load the wheel, how do you know when they are loaded enough? And how do you know when you reload them?

I Carnuba wax one seems very hard to load...

Dvoight,
Just hold whatever bar against whatever wheel for a few seconds. It doesn't take that much to load the wheels up. I usually give my wheels a fresh hit each time I use it. Bring the bars up from the bottom and touch the wheels below center, won't have so much a tendency to try and pull them out of your hands.
