I have an old Jet 1014VS mini lathe. Oneo of the first VS mini lathes from Jet. I thought the lathe started at 0 RPM when turned on. Mine did and now starts at 200 RPM? Any idea why?
Thanks:surprise2:
Don't know about the Jet mini lathe for sure, but the Ryobi variable speed mini lathe I bought years ago has a stated infinitely variable speeds of 500 - 2500 rpm. It's controlled by the electronic speed and current control circuitry. IIRC the jet 1014vs had 6 speeds; 500, 840, 1240, 1800, 2630, & 3975 RPM.
