Starting a new range of jewlery boxes, sorry about the pic my cam has just died so only the one pic of it.
Its finial is Hormbeam 13cm x 2.5cm and 10mm Ruby bead. The box it's self is Spaltered Hormbeam and is 13cm x 11cm. The inside of the box has a tray shelf and all is sprayed with Black flox. The dark on the box is textured with a pyro tool, the swiss cheesw look is done with an air minuture grinder with 2 dif size carbide grinders, finish sanded to 600 and polished with melomine. When i get the cam going then will redo pics and show the inside. Hope you like it.
Not able to get on as much as i would like at the moment to biz not enought time...LB..

LB-nice looking box.How long did it take you to complete it.
Looks like you spent some time putting in some extras.
One of the nicest I've seen.

LB Nice box. I love the texture. The Red Ruby is a nice touch.

LB: Just beautifullll! You have a real winner there and it should sell well for you. The interior tray is something very inventive for a box this size and hope your camera can capture it when its working again! ...Bill...

Turnedon hi thanks for the comments and to the rest of you guys thanks. The time was much the same as for any turning really the bits that take the time was the flock on the inside not that it takes long to do but having to wait for it to dry of, then the pyro burning, it was to cold in the shop so i waited till my wife went to bed and done it in the livingroom, then forgot and went to bed leaving the door shut, bad idea the wife was not happy stunk the place out, will have to remember to leave the door open so it disapates over night, still a bit cold in the shop. Im trying now to forget time, how long it takes to make something as i would not sell somethings as they take to long to make for the price you get, and i look at it as a hobby rather than a biz. I have basicly retired know and cannot be bothered with having to price work as i did before, im not one for over charging or taking daft money, as long as i make a small profit and to cover all my cost then im happy. LB..

That is very unique. I would never have thought to texture it the way you did. Very nice work.

Very well done - the bottom looks like stippling on my gun stocks.
