Calling him a "MORON" is an under statement!

We have a guy (superviser) no less that has a compressor that worked like that. For three weeks he did that with his hands to get it started. One day last week he dropped the motor to fast and ate the belt. One of the dumbest things I've ever seen had a welt on his arm and face for two days. We had warned him repeatedly but he knows better than everyone else. The worst is the customer was on the jobsite and really thinks we're a bunch of clowns.

Default He's no MORON, actually he's smart

enough to be dangerous to himself and others. That's a definintion of mentally insane, I believe. Like the saying goes "Just enough knowlege to be scary/dangerous." I also think that he's either too cheap or too poor to know when he should spend a dollar or two rather than try to resurrect the "dead". He's got children and should want to be around for a while, rather than be taking foolish chances, trying to save a buck and then promote huimself on Utube as a "being more safe" than he used to be. Woah! bill

If I ever thought of pulling a stunt like that, oh no not that I would, the last thing I would do is show off on U Tube

I love how he had the piece against the rip fence while CROSSCUTTING! He'll end up with that board kicking back.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that this idiot loses a finger or two.

The really sad part is he is doing all this with that poor little girl sitting there in the line of fire. What an idiot.

Having his little girl was stupid. Now on the other side if I had some of my Dads tools now you could call me anything you wanted to except a obomber fan. .. Naw.. you could even call me that,,,

Maybe some of you guys haven't lost your Dad yet.. One day you might understand I lost mine at 18 and I just turned 60. Even though it's been a long time it still hurts.

Have you tried blowing on the blades like a toy windmill?
Maybe try an air hose.
Wrap a string around the pulley a few turns and give a yank.
Thought about fixing the start capacitor much?
You have how many fingers?...left?
You could wear one of those fish cleaning metal gloves.
Actually wearing a glove would insure your that hand gets pulled into the blades. That's the whole idea here, right? Or did I miss something? bill

A start cap. is around $5. I am sure his dad would be more proud of him fixing the tool and using it properly rather than jimmy-rigging it. I should post this under shop safety also!!!

All I can picture is how that 5 gallon was wobbling when he was spinning the motor. It falls off that little board and motor grabs the belts and pliers/hand get pulled into the belts. This guy needs some help on how to use a table saw, he might be able to fix the saw but he isn't going to be able to do anything with the saw when he has no fingers left.

And for the guy with the jointer, I really hope that was a joke.
