Congrats on the revamped site Daren. A real feast for the eyes. You are right to concentrate on specialised milling. Lots of carpenters and turners about, but few milling afficionados like you. Vitual millers like me can just admire the wonderful wood. Michaelangelo said he released statues from a block of marble. You release a thing of beauty from a rough old log.

Just how many of those has that guy made? Wow. I'm betting he doesn't spend much on Christmas presents.

i have made similar items not so delicate though. last year for x mas i made everyone in the family a raindeer silloutte out of maple. i have also made a 3D fish puzzle from red oak. my HS teacher taught me how to do it he used to make long snake puzzles for his grand kids. cool stuff.
