Default New from CT

Hey all. I am new to here from Connecticut. I have always been around woodworking in some form or another. My father and grandfather were both carpenters. I did work with them for the summers when I was real young. You know, a "gopher". Unfortunately I lost interest when I was a teenager and have been slowly gaining more interest in it now. My father retired and moved south a couple of years ago and handed down some of his tools to me and I just had to put them to use. My father in law has a nice little shop set up at his house a few minutes down the road and enjoys teaching me the finer parts of woodworking. I am really getting into it now. I have been reading alot on this forum for a while and everyone here seems like a great bunch. I am sure I will have something to contribute.

Welcome to the forum. You're near my old stomping grounds. I lived in the Simsbury and East Hartland area for years before moving south.

Thanks Red, I really do love Connecticut. East Hartland is really nice. My folks keep asking me when I am moving to NC. Real close family. Going down there the end of next week to visit. Great place to vacation. They live very close to the shore near Willmington.
