Greetings. I have been looking for a site like this for quite some time and finally decided to take the plunge. I am married with one son, and another on the way...due in December. My experience is more in commercial construction and framing, but woodworking in general just intrigues me.

I am currently a Server enginner (read computer geek) for a midwestern bank, but hunger to do something more creative. I have been blessed with in-laws that believe power tools make GREAT gifts, so I have a fair start. I would love nothing more than to one day start a side business making SAFE children's toys, no chemicals or anything like that.

Hopefully I can give as much as I take from this site. For starters, if you have any computer questions, I'm all ears!

Well, that bout sums me up!

Welcome, GoldenEagle. Handyman's right - it's a great forum and there are a lot of talented people on here. You can't help but learn something if you keep hanging around. And they haven't run me off yet, so they're also very tolerant.

Welcome. I assume the IL in the title means another Illinoisan on board ?
