Default I love the smell of sawdust in the morning

Hey all,

I've been thinking about joining a forum to learn some more about woodworking.

I've been working with my grandfather periodically since about 11 years old, and I'm 32 now. Just bought my first house so now I actually have space for a woodshop. Slowly getting tools and such, so not a whole lot of action yet. I've been refinishing a lot of old furniture that I fish out of thrift stores.

Growing up I've mostly worked with my grandfather on small projects, but would very much like to get into furniture making and design. Sanding is one of the most meditative activities that I know of.

Anyways, just saying hi. -SW

Streamwinner,
Welcome to the forum. If you find sanding 'meditative', you'll end up being one peaceful person. Sit back, click on some threads to get some ideas on which direction you want to head, and let 'er rip. Feel free to ask any questions, enjoy.
