Default hi

good morning!

i'm chad. i found this site via the DIY Chatroom site and am currently in the process of purchasing a house with quite a bit of rehab work in it. whatever i dont get done with a contractor i hope to be able to do on my own. my woodworking experience is pretty limited to what ever i did while in school (never did take the furniture studio ) and what i've inherited (it is genetic right?) from family - grandfather was a carpenter in the navy and in miami (FL) after the war, several other family members are in various construction fields and i am working on getting my license so i can legally be an architect.

also excited to see a sketch-up sub forum. we use it quite a bit at work, although more for buildings than small detail stuff but it is a great program, especially for the money
