Dora,
Welcome to the forum. As a new member, any time you ask a question and receive a good answer, it is customary to send the provider of the answer a 6-pack of Sam Adams. Just kidding.
Actually, read up on what interests you, ask any questions that you feel would help you on a project or fixing a problem, and if you see a question by others that you can provide a solution for, jump in. There's a lot of good info here and a lot of friendly people.

Mike said it well. I usually spend my time just reading responses to other people's questions. Sometimes I comment on projects and such. And, when I'm working on a big project that's new or tough, I post questions like mad and learn a lot.

Welcome.
