Default hello from cny

hey guys , my name scott , i live in central newyork, i have been a carpenter, since i was 16, but we call them laborers at first, seeingas im 40 something i still am a laborer, i don't care it's money in the bank lol,

i went to school for masonary and did that for a year or two, i found out masons drink alot so i figured they drink fora reason so i started watching this old house backin 88, then one xmas my wife bought me some woodworking tools,

i turned my apt into my shop, not kidding i would build my wife would clean, to keep the neighbors quiet i would build them stuff ,

that was good for awhile till one day i built a toybox for my kid, yes i still have it, it's bad lol,

but anyway when i was routing the bearing broke off and ruined the piece i was working on, trying to figure out what happened i look across the carpet and i seen smoke, yup it went clear across the room and burned a hole in the rug, i fixed it with a piece i pilfered from the closet, i moved to a house soon after,

so now i restore an 100 yr old building, i have been there off and on for 20 years, i can do custom work and crap work all in the same day, but i have actual photos not digital though of some of the piecesi make, but i have been able to work in million dollar homes, so i guess i am good enough, i do pretty much everything by myself as i want it my way right then and there, it's easier in the end,

hopefully i will be able to contribute some ideas and maybe learn from yours, looking forward to reading your threads,

later scott
