Default Hello from central Iowa

Just wanted to say "hi" and introduce myself before I start picking people's brains. I'm not a pro, nor even in the trades, but I've been a rabid hobbyist woodworker for years. I've already learned a heck of a lot just in my short time "lurking" here and I'm looking forward to learning more.

Welcome aboard mebsdad. I look forward not only to what you may learn but what you may add also.
BTW, geology has always fascinated me! Was one of my favorite subjects.

No kidding, Plowboy...my inlaws live just up the road between Peterson and Linn Grover. River Road if you recall where that is.

Who are your inlaws? I know the area very well. Linn Grove is where I went to High School.

That might be a good thing, Plowboy! Ol' Lou was her dad, but he didn't get off the farm too often. She might also bit a bit older than you. Anyway, life's funny running into someone that knows that part of the world in a place like this.
