Default Hello, and advice please

Good day Gents.

Greetings from western Massachusetts.

After working for a millwork shop for better than 20 years I find myself scrambling for some tools - the company went under and all the nice stuff I had to play with went with it<sigh>.

I have the smaller tools I need, but because of space, it was easier to just rely on what was at the shop for bigger things.

I will be picking up the Ridgid TS 3650 or 3660 shortly, in no small part because of recommendations here.

Based on what I read here though there is one improvement it seems that I will need to make - the miter gauge; which I use quite a bit for one project in particular.

Taking into consideration that income is a whole lot reduced, can someone recommend a decent replacement?

It does not have to be fancy, just solid. Has anyone had any experience with the Incra V27?

I'll probably pick your brains again sometime later, but this will help me get started.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the reply.

I take it that you are in the armed services. Thank you, it is an honor to make your acquaintance.

Welcome

I can't say from personal experience, but from what I've looked at it, it would be a good investment. However, I do have the incra fence system. That is an excellent system. I have had it for several years now and I am really impressed with how it works. The repeteablity of setting the fence exactly where you had it is excellent.

Hello Jay, thanks for the recommendation. Incra does look like it has some impressive fence systems; something I will surely look into as I get further along.

Thanks again
