Default Google sketch-up??

I saved a basic lower cabinet I drew as a component, I can't figure out how to stretch the cabinet to different sizes. I'm assuming it is easy. Any ideas???? Thanks

Thanks fireman95, I tried scaling but it alters all the dimensions, The cabinet has 2-1/2" stile and rail recessed panel doors. When I use the scale command and increase the width of the cabinet, the doors and cabinet sides increase, Autocad has the great stretch tool, and I was hoping sketch up had the same type of tool.

Could it be you have everything saved as one component or group? This may explain why everything moves the same while scaling. Can you edit and save the project into individual components and then save all components into a group. Then size your individual components to your needs. They won't "stick" this way. I'm no expert but found this to be some of my problems starting out with Sketch-up. This may help.

This sounds like a great program once you get used to it. I have it loaded and have played around with it a bit but nothing seriously.

I'll be watching threads like this for more info.

Thanks guys.

Pinkus
Make the unit a component
select it and then right click and edit the component.
If you want just to make it wider then using left click select all the elements on the right end
then using the move tool drag the right end away to the right

Richard gave you the good skinny... you're just grabbing (selection box from the left) part of the cabinet with the MOVE tool, and sliding it out (or up... or down... or wherever you need to)
