Default Basic Qustion: changing the dimentions of an object?

Once you have a rectangle sized to the exact dimensions you want, how can you come back and change it later?

Thanks,
Jon

Also a reminder...under the "window" menu at the top of the screen there is an "instructor" selection. Click on that to open the instructor...select any tool you want to use and the instructor will display the tool instructions and also has some highlighted topics, for further advanced functions of the tool and related topics, that will take you to the SU help site to view the information.

SketchUp is not parametric. Once you add a dimension you can't change it and have your geometry change along with it. Although, I think there is a plugin to do just that.

Actually, that's not quite correct. If you want to scale ALL of your dimensions proportionally, SketchUp accomodates that.

Draw it...dimension it..change it and the dimension changes with it. But it's true that changing the text of the dimension will not change the geometry as in some other types of software.

But then SU does work with parametric components and the pro version will create them.
