Hitachi C10FR (10" Jobsite Table Saw)
The stand is far from stable. Any time you had to apply any kind of actual pressure... The saw would begin to tilt. Not a comfortable feeling when there is a razor sharp disc spinning at few thousand RPM!
The fence is a joke. The first time I applied any really pressure against the fence it popped right out of position. The right extension wing was just as feeble. Any time there was actual weight resting on the wing while it was extended... It would sag and create it's own assortment of problems.
The miter, and it's slots... Yet another joke. First the slots aren't of standard size so common aftermarket accessories wouldn't fit. Then the miter guage itself is flimsy and wobbled in the slot.
I can't vouch for power as I never tried cutting any hard woods with this saw. I'm guessing that it wouldn't do very well though. Had no problems cutting pine, and sheet goods.
The best feature about this saw is that it folds up nicely and can be tucked away out of site. I thought about selling it on the used market but I can't bring myself to inflict this hunk of junk on some poor unsuspecting buyer.
The best thing I got out of this saw was experience in what not to buy. I have heard good, first hand, reviews regarding the DeWalt jobsite saw, and the Bosch saw. If I had a need for a "portable" table saw... Those would be the only two options I would ever consider.
