What's the easiset way to remove the wax of some Burl pieces I have?

they're all fairly small.

I just bought my lathe, so I have very little experience at this. But wouldn't you just turn the wax off as you started turning the piece?

I've got some slightly off blocks that need cut to size first..... Dunno if I want wax all over the saws............

Oh well that is no biggy. Cut them to size and use the same saw and cut through a scrap piece, the wax will clean right off the blade .

mineral spirits 0r turpentine . will wipe off wax.
