Default slot cutter on chipboard.

hi all
Im in the middle of doing a camper conversion, and need a bit of help
the wood im using is 15mm conti board,
to finish the edges of i want to put 15mm knock on plastic T edge.
Iv been told to use a slot cutter for the router.
but will this be ok with chipboard?


or is ther another way of doing it .

WELCOME TO THE FORUM

If you use a carbide tipped slot cutter, and do the machining carefully, you can slot the board. You have to be careful in handling and installing the "T". If this is just an edging take care not to break off the edges. For connecting stand up panels, you might want to back up the seam.
