Basement shop??? Well, yeah...the basement of a heavy metal record shop. We'll see who makes more noise!!!!

As for space...I'm only building guitars so I should have enough space.

It's pretty small, pretty messy, and really cold this time of year, but it's mine!

May be small but you have it arranged pretty well, and if it fits your needs - thats even better.

From 93.5 ft2 to 572 ft2, you made out good Geoff. You have room to woodwork and you and Lisa can still dance in the extra room. I reckon you at least have more wood storage if nothing else .

Figure of speech, must be colloquial...let me say it in another way, you now have enough room to swing a dead cat, eh ?

My curly stock is good, sucky shipping to Canukistan with your taxes, but there are ways. Like "free" wood, can they tax that ?

O.K....tomorrow we're havin' a good old fashioned wall raisin' party.
For no other reason than to save wood should I stud on 24" centers or should I stick with 16"???

It's a non-load bearing wall and I don't plan on hanging anything heavy on it.

That is pretty cool. Did you click on "misc" ? They even had a lazy dog and cat. I don't have any of the tools Grizzly sells, so I just filled a 24'x30' up with cats and dogs...man you can get a bunch in there .
