Default Rough Sawn Georgia Pine Timbers

I have approx. 180 timbers of Georgia Pine that I got from a historic demolition project. The timbers are rough sawn, 4x12 x 20' long.

Does anybody know what the average BF price is for Georgia Pine these days??

I am not familiar with Georgia Pine, but given the size, and length of your timbers anything less than $1 per board foot, or $4 per running foot, would be criminal. They would probably be worth a lot more than that if the housing market was still good.

I would agree with that...and add if I had them I would resaw them out to make 10,000 ft2 of flooring (+/- depending on condition, the math is 14,400 minus a little bandmill kerf and whatever defects) and try to get at least $5 ft2...but like Gerry said the housing market around here would not support it right now.

EDIT: I did a Google search for "reclaimed pine flooring"...$5 a ft2 was a little low

I could not figure out from their site where these people are, but they buy reclaimed wood just for making flooring. http://www.mountainlumber.com/Contact/Overview.aspx
May be worth a phone call anyway ?
