I think I'd ask for a model number and pictures.

If it's an older contractor saw that looks a bit like this pic (but green) it could be worth the asking price, but condition could be all over the map... a pic would answer alot of questions... age and model # would help too. Condition is really the key.

If it's an old benchtop with leg stand like this one, it's not worth $10 IMO.

I checked with the CL poster and determined that this is a G1059. That saw has not been available for several years. I had one similar except that mine had steel wings where this one has aluminum wings. They are a basic contractor's saw with a very small footprint meaning that they are not as stable as current versions of the contractor's saw. They will tilt easily. Additionally, the fence is not all that reliable. If it was my money, I think I would save up a little longer a get a better piece of equipment. Let me also say though, that the current Grizzly line of equipment is as good a line as any other in their price range. In fact, if you were color blind, you might find it hard to differentiate between Grizzly and Shop Fox.

THANK YOU EDP! That is basically what I thought I would do, save up and get something good. (Actually I THOUGHT Grizzly WAS good) but I definetly appreciate the info and the efforts.

Thanks again!
