Default Mounting Drawer Slides on a Glued-up Panel

Ok. I'm building a Secretary Desk, very ambitious project. The case sides are going to be glued-up panels, about 21" wide. I bought Blum Tandem drawer slides, which look real nice because they mount out of view.

Anyway, it occurred to me that if I mount the drawer slides directly to the inside of the case sides, won't they hinder the expansion and contraction of the panels? Is there a way around this problem? In previous projects I've used veneered plywood for the case and didn't have to worry about it.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you would have a problem, but use the enlarged hole in the slide to be sure. I'm talking the oblong ones that most slides have. If they don't, you could make them. Should take care of any concerns. Russ
