Default Google sketchup...woohoo!

Maybe I am late to the game (there have probably been many posts here about it, and I have seen others here mention its use), but Sketchup is quite nice and very easy to use. And more important, it is free. I did the attached in about an hour, including learning the tools. It is just a bathroom makeup area for my parents. I didn't put any material on it (you can make it look "wood") or get too crazy with the details, but it is really nice to be able to set up a quick pattern with measurements and a 360 degree view. I love cool tools.

I agree! I am just getting into this and have re-discovered sketchup. Lots of great info on the next.

Here is a shot of a sandbox I am going to build this weekend:

I think my favorite part is the dimensions it puts on. I know it is very simple, but it is nice to have an at-a-glance drawing to sanity check before you cut. And man, do I need sanity checking.

Nice, I hadn't discovered that feature yet, but now that I know about it I will definitely use it!
