Delta tablesaw opinions

I'm looking to upgrade my tablesaw with a delta 36-714 in excellent condition. Has cast wings and unifence. He's asking $700. Is that a fair price for a saw in excellent condition and my other concern is parts availability. Any thoughts?

$700 is a little steep IMO. It's a decent older hybrid that was pre-riving knife, had table mounted trunnions, and has no warranty...the upside is the solid cast wings, Unifence, and condition. Roughly 10-13 years old. I'd think around $600 max is fair. For more than that, I'd want a used 3hp Unisaw or equivalent, or a new Grizzly hybrid for ~ $900 to your door.

I agree

The Grizzly hybrid is really nice for for the $900.00. I also have a Craftsman Hybrid but less HP at 1 3/4; so a 2 HP will be a bit better.
The hybrids are a good compromise between the contractor types and a cabinet type.

If you want a full bore 3 HP cabinet saw, then Grizzly has several models:

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specfic. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo
