Default cutting board glue

I know you have had this question before, I am going to make some cutting boards and have been told to use a good waterproof glue. What glue would you recommend, titebond III or poly? Do I also need biscuits or will the glue be enough to do the job?

Ron

any waterproof glue will work as long as it's a food safe glue, which i believe titebond III is. i'm pretty sure that's what i used on my butcher blocks. you don't need biscuits, the glue will be plenty strong.

Ron,
My cutting board is 2" thick maple, edge glued with titebond II. It was the oven cutout from an island I made 10 years ago. We use it every single day, wash it, abuse it, seldom oil it, and have never had a de-lamination problem at all. Just jointed faces edge glued. The island's still good, too.
