Default Craigslist makes me nuts!

This ad appeared today and you know the place is going to be a riot this weekend.

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/zip/1033578841.html

I'd be there with a big trailer and a chain saw except for a couple of problems. I have no one to help me and it'll be a mad scramble. I hate it when people put in ads that will likely give rise to quarrels. Not to mention the fact that it's 80 miles from here so by the time I got there there might be nothing left but brush. It's a heart breaker.

Someone in Peoria had five 70 foot trees cut down and wanted someone to take the wood. The trees were oak, eucalyptus and pine. They didn't give contact information, just their address. I just looked and the ad's still there.

Hey Sawduster, if you can figure out if the wood is still there let me know and I'll find some time to meet you out there.

I'll give it a try via email but I don't hold much hope.

It's nice to know there are more like me around.

It looks like this woodworking hobby of mine is taking the direction of making small pretty things with maximum exploitation of wild and crazy grains. So naturally since I live in the desert mesquite in almost any size is just my bait. I think we should exchange phone numbers if you've nothing against chain saws and sweat. I'll give you mine in a PM or email. Give me a call, I'd be happy to meet you.

No, seriously, Sawduster, just kidding....I was just trying to express my tongue-in-cheek opinion on the topic. You and appearently millions of others have the same dealings on CL: that's why I never visit there anymore. And my advice to anyone who gets as frustrated as you over something as silly as this whole internet thing is simple---turn it off, any your problem goes away.

I didn't realize you had no sense of humor on the topic, and for that I appologize.

regards,
smitty

No problem. I didn't see it as an internet thing. I saw it as a free lumber thing.
