Default cedar siding question

I'm just wondering if reclaimed cedar siding could be used to build, say, an outdoor chair or bench ? or even an inside table ?

Is it viable, is it safe or too chemically treated, just stuff I'm wondering.

Default I have a few questions

Are going to get some or have some?
Does it have nail holes every 16"?
Is it beveled or ship lap/ channel rustic?
How wide is it after you saw off the tongues and rabbets?
Beveled won't be good for much of anything unless you sandwich it back together so you end up with parallel surfaces. A PITA
It's not chemically treated, since it's "cedar" generally rot and bug resistant.
It's generally too soft to make strong joints with fasteners such as bolts since they will pull through after time. Bolting "plates" will help.
Much outdoor furniture is made with white oak, strong and moisture and rot resistant.
Cedar and redwood can withstand the elements, but in my opinion don't work well for structural joints or joints in torsion or shear. It's better as decking and siding. JMO
Bottom line answer. nope, too many issues. bill
