If you want to buy JPW, you can usually find it at a grocery store in the home cleaning section. Several retail hardware stores also sell it, like Ace and True-Value.

FWIW, I don't use wax on surfaces that come in contact with wood. To that I might add that those waxed surfaces turn the results of machined wood into airborne material that gets disseminated throughout the shop.

Funny, I've been waxing my machines for 20 years without a problem. Currently using White Diamond Butchers wax. I was using Trewax but found it a bit to hard in the can, tougg to get it on the rag. The WD is a good wax.

I've been waxing all of my metal tools... table saw, planer, jointer, drill press, band saw, etc for 40+ years. It greatly enhances how easy the wood glides over the tool top and most certainly helps protect the metal from moisture and potential rust. NEVER have I had any problems whatsoever.
