I would be cautious. I used to have a full time woodworking business and signed an exclusivity deal with an office supply distributor for a seven state area with a minimum purchase agreement from them annually. After six months of no orders I contacted them and they simply said "Oh, I guess we're just going to have to void that contract." As much as I like to stay away from lawyers, I never entered into another contract like that without one and never felt bad about it. I am now happily back to amature status (after 13 years of hating being self employed).

We had our meeting. It is a done deal.

15% commission on the clocks in their shop,
I can pick them up anytime I like. Ok.

They have plenty of display area so I don't need
to do a display case. Ok.

I can sell what I like outside their shop, but they
don't want me to put the clocks in another shop
in this area. Ok.

They have another store in a near by town and
want to take some of them there. Ok.

They will have brochures and my cards on display
with my clock. Ok.

So I am taking about eight or ten to the shop
tomorrow and see how it goes.

It will be nice to have them out there for the
Christmas season.

All my clocks have a label, serial number, phone
number and warranty information inside the case.

I much prefer to have them deal with the customer
and just let me build the clocks. It is worth the 15%.

BTW, it is a smallish, very clean, nicely lighted Mom
and Pop store that offers every customer a cup of
coffee and sweet roll. They don't have fancy stuff,
just nice old pieces that are in very good condition
for the most part. They sell some of the rougher
stuff to the re conditioners. They are working on
their web site and I will post it when they get it
done.

Congratulations!!!
I want the janitor's job but, only if I can clean while all those office girls are working.
Should I send my resume?
BTW, I'm a woodworker so I work cheap and I have lots of sweeping and ogling experience

Forgot to mention I sold one at the house today as
well. Neighbors sister got one for her sons birthday.

Not a sale in over six months and two in one day!

It is so quiet here.
