Default boat building glue

I am making a wooden canoe using strip construction. What kind of glue would be best for this application? Would something like waterproof titebond work?

Araldite used to be the standard. Originally developed for the Mosquito plane during the war, I believe.

Just about any wood glue should be good
BECAUSE
you will be sealing the cedar with a resin impregnated fiberglass thereby making it water proof
If you use either Resorcinol or a 2 part epoxy you will need to find some way to easily apply them to the strips after you mix them.
Also regular wood glue is the cheapest way to go

West Systems epoxy. It was formulated for boat building.

I used tite bond 3 on mine and it worked well. I'm not sure how long it would last without treatment because my boat had a ton of spar on it.
