Default Best place for Bandsaw Blades

I'm looking for a 105" x 1/2" x 3tpi hook blade for resawing and was wondering where is the best place to look? What's a good price ?

Default band saw blades

Hi Donny
Check around in your area to see if you have an industrial saw supplier that can custom make your blades. I have one here in Richmond that supplies me with 105" 3tooth 3/4 that I use for resawing . They cost me $10.oo ea and they work great. A little tip that you may find useful is to use PAM cooking spray to lube the blade and guides. It's cheap and does not leave a smell or residue on your cut stock.

Don,
I happen to like the timberwolf blades. Sounds like the same length I use. 14" Jet with the extension in. Here's a link for them:

If you want to know the best of anything for a bandsaw, then get the Iturra Design catalogue, free, at 1-866-883-8064. This is the bible of bandsaws info and equipment. From Jacksonville Fl. If I go locally, it is usually a Timberwolf, and I also have the 14" Jet with riser on it.

Woodcraft Bands Inc, has very good prices on Lenox blades. Not sure but I don't believe they are affiliated at all with the other Woodcraft.

Add me to those suggesting the TW blades. Suffolk Machinery was great to deal with. They ask a lot of questions about your saw and what you plan to cut, then make custom recommendations based on your input...not a bad idea!

They used to offer a "443" deal, where new customers can get 4 blades for the price of 3....it's worth asking about if you call.

Grizzly carries the Timberwolf blade at 105" x 3/4" -3 AS-S @ $27.95 part no. H8567. It's specifically for resawing, thin kerf, fine finish cut for expensive woods, if you need a source. Bill
