Default How do I post a link to a YouTube video?

How do I post a link to a YouTube video without the video open and ready to run. I just want the name underlined to indicate a link to the video, but not the window.

Default The way I have done it is:

Go to the U-tube site and left click the web address then right click the web address and "copy" When you post your information right click "paste" and the link will show up in blue in your post . When you "submit reply" the actual video will show up with a play button in the center. Don't ask me how that works I have no clue! bill

I did that, but I don’t want the actual video shown, because I’m trying to add it as an extra and don’t want the video to be confused with the actual topic. Am I saying this right? I hope you know what I mean.

Default Been thinkin about this

But since U Tube is a video only site and the web addresses are not "links" in the usual sense, since they go right to the videos. This is not a 2 step deal. So, I don't think you can do what you want to do..I know nothing about this, but just applying Common Sense! bill

If your question hasn't been answered, this may help.

When you go to the You Tube site, and you pick the video, go to the top search bar and right click on the address. A window will open and click on "copy". In your post, where you want the link to show, right click and a window will open and click on "paste".

To check it out if it's working OK, click on "Preview Post" and the link should be in blue (and underlined). Click on it and the video should come up. To cancel it out to make the post, go to the right side of the nav bar hold the cursor on the red "X" and it will read "close tab", then left click.

It should appear like this in the post, after you click "Submit Reply".

Ok that’s exactly what I was trying to do. My question has now been answered, thanks.

I can’t remember now what exactly it was that I was doing at the time. I wanted to talk about one topic and offer a possible reference to a video, but the video kept coming up and confused the issue. The first time it happened I left it, I didn’t like it but I left it anyway. The second time I gave up and deleted it. Thanks again.
