Smile Fixing a Maple trestle table

Hello All,
I'm a new woodworker, and wish to fix my maple kitchen table. It is bolted at the base with 2 large wood screws, however, it keeps coming loose. Can anyone suggest how I can solve this problem? The lower horizontal member also comes loose.

If you don't plan on ever taking it apart, I would probably use some epoxy. Take the legs off and bolts out. Use a dowel or pencil to apply some epoxy in the holes and around the bolts. Put back together and use clamps or rope to keep things tight for 2 days. Should solve your problem.

Default Trestle table idea

Hi Rob,
Because I do occasionally take the table apart, is there some way I can create a mortise & tennon ? Probably, to keep the same distance between the vertical members, I would have to replace the horiz. ones? I do have a hollow chisel mortiser & tennoning jig for my General table saw. It would be the first time I tried this process, so I'll give it a shot.
