Rio Rancho, New Mexico, just up the hill and across the county line from Albuquerque...by way of Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, California, Tennessee, Maryland, and Virginia. Been here 13-1/2 years and I NEVER want to live anywhere else--especially not somewhere where there is humidity!!!

Default Where are you

Powell River, British Columbia, on the West Coast of Canada.
It is about 160 kilometers [100 miles for our Southern neighbours] from the city of Vancouver. It takes about six hours and two ferry trips to get here, so we don't get a huge amount of through traffic. That is a huge attraction for me, after living in Richmond, just South of Vancover, for the last thirty-six years.
We have lived here for all of two and a half months, and I am loving it.
We have about 11/2 acres, a 3600 square foot house, a 4200 square foot shop, and a garage of about 700 square feet.
The property has lots of tall firs, and a 180 degree view overlooking the ocean. Not water front, but pretty close to it.

Sorry Corndog, but we got this for about the same price as the
$300,000 condo in fricking Vancouver.

Regards
Gerry

My wife has the digital camera, and I think she almost knows how to use it. I do not. I will see if we can get some pics together and post them.

I'm in the City of Sunderland in the North-East of England. About 3 miles from the original Washington.

Default I'm right here

Statham, GA about 1½ to 4 hours (depending on traffic) NE of Atlanta, 12 miles W of Athens (home of UGA - how 'bout dem dawgs).

and YANK, it seems that you've been my southern neighbor before - I grew up in NH, spent 28 years in the USAF and then some 13 years later moved to Georgia. A local lady once called me a Damn Yankee, but then I told her what that while she was a southerner by accident of birth, I had chosen to be one.

Default I'm next to Wally, find him, you've found me!

I'm in Melbourne Australia (the real one), in a suburb called Eaglemont if you want to look it up. I live about 100yds from the original Heidelberg Art School, where people like Tom Roberts and Fred McCubbin used to hang out. Real sense of community here though. One of our neighbours is one of the Sultan of Brunei's many, many daughters.
By the way, no-one in this country knowingly or willingly drinks Fosters.

East Texas puckerbush country. Lots of oak, bois d'arc, willow, pecan, sycamore, sassafras, cedar and pine (whatever that is good for!!!!) Sure wish I could find other woodworkers in this area to hunt lumber with and exchange ideas. Let me hear from anybody near to Spring, Texas.

During the school year, I'm in College Station, which is about 2 hours from Spring if I'm correct.
