Default What's Another Half Million?

I was watching the RM car auction this AM on the tube and on the block was a 1959 Ferrari 250 LWB Spyder like this one that the bidding got to $4 million between two bidders. I guess one of the guys wanted it pretty bad as his next bid was $4.5 million. He clinched it with that.

I don't live in a neighborhood having a neighbor on each side like those guys but it would be cool as they are car collectors. Utopia for me would be if they did, and their passion was also woodworking.:D

Nice car! BUT $4.5 million I would rather have a small house and a big woodworking shop.

Yeah, those old sports cars had style. My father had a 289 AC Cobra for 6 months in the mid '80's. Bought it for $25k, sold it for $50k and thought he had done pretty well. We saw it go up at an auction in the mid '90's for $250k and he started cussin'. Cool car, but not those old sports cars are not exactly practical. He always had cool old sports cars, muscle cars, and boats up intil the day I turned 16. That must have been a sad day.
