Default What Kind Of Music?

What kind of music does everyone have on thier shop radio? Just wondering.

I have a sat. radio, so it"s either bluegrass or fox news.

Merry Christmas all, Brad

I plug in my i pod which has a mix with everything from 50's and 60's music to heavy metal. I have a wide variety of music that I enjoy. I can listen to anything but rap.

The last thing I want in the shop is more noise.

I have very little hearing in my right ear and some
in my left. Any back ground noise is very uncomfortable.

Even having the TV on in the living room while I am
in the shop, it is on the wall behind the work bench I
use the most, is very annoying!

My right ear only hears very low tones. My left ear has
a buzz all the time.

Thanks Vietnam!

Talk radio sometimes during the day. Indian games when they are in season. Music wise, blues, classic and southern rock.

Hmm...lately I've been working with a friend in his shop and his taste is very different to say the least. I have a wide range of taste but some of his stuff is a little over the top. Ever listen to Tom Waits? Wow! That guy has some issues. Mellow is good for me in the shop, but once in awhile we have to make it really unbearably noisy...Who doesn't crank it up when you hear the opening riff to Mississippi Queen?

If I am working on lay out or patterns sometimes
I will listen to this:

I love the old radio shows. We have most of them on
DVDs. They are so bad they sound good to me.

Mostly rock, Guns and Roses, Areosmith, ACDC, metalica, I have a couple of mixed cd's that my brother in law made for me that have a bunch of different stuff. It all gets the creative juices flowing.

Carlinhos Brown, Tribalistas, and Manu Chao when I'm in a good mood
Tom Waits when I need creativity
Iron & Wine when pensive

Mississippi John Hurt or Hip Hop. And by Hip Hop I always have to clarify because 99.9% of people only know one kind of hip hop: the kind on the radio (which sux). There's a whole world of underground hip hop artists that are intelligent, positive, and musically skillful.

Lately, I've started listening to country music more - I think it has to do with getting older and listening to lyrics, which isn't always easy with rock. Heck, for years, I never really heard the words in music. Well, my 17-year-old son wanted to correct this emerging character flaw he saw emerging in his dad - he got me two AC/DC CDs for Christmas. They're darn good! I highly recommend the new Black Ice album.

Been a rocker my whole life but listen, mostly, to talk radio. Since SWMBO got me XM I'm hooked on XM Bluesville. Even being a lifelong rocker I never realized how much of it is actually rooted in the blues. And with most of it the origanal is even better. Well, except for Zeppelin and Mr. Petty.

I usually plug in my mp3 player to an old stereo in the garage and listen to foo fighters, sublime, zeppelin, soundgarden, minus the bear, just to name a few.
