Default Websites??

Kimber is working on a website for my clocks. We
had one, but it sucked. Too many limitations.

This one is free and no adds.

http://woodwonderboatworks.yolasite.com/

We are going to add some thumbs as soon
as I get some pictures done.

We will host the pictures at imageshack to save
space on the web site. It is limited to just over
a GB.

Also need an email just for the site.

Looks like a nice start.

Minor point --- the sentence "Welcome to Wood Wonder Boat Works, Building boat for three hundred years" probably should not have "Building" capitalized and probably should have "boats" instead of "boat".

"....building boat(s) for 300 years..."? How so, by whom? your family? Has the name has been around that long? It raises some questions as to authenticity for me, unless you can clarify that would be my suggestion. bill BTW Nice Clock! Got a boat pix?

My family has been in the boat business in the US
since the early 1700's. Wood Wonder came about
in the mid 1940's. Dad built a bunch of 8' racers
for racing on a local lake. About fifty we think.
Also several runabouts and river boat, jon boats.
And a sail boat for me in 1949. I built my first
boat in 1958.

The racer:

The runabout:

My first sail boat:

That is quite a first sail boat! I like the looks of that Yellowjacket, looks like fun. I would edit a boat photo to make a banner instead of the flower. It makes a little more sense.

What can you tell me about your site provider?
I had a website for a while that claimed to be free, but then sterted charging and adding pop ups and adds everywhere.
Any input would be great. thanks.

We have had this one a day. It seems to be fine.
It always asked you to upgrade to pro when you
save changes, to be expected I guess.
It is much simpler that the other one we had.
And the address is about 1/3 as long.

I will keep you posted.

Default Yeah, nice to see you're back

I just checked your site again and suggest this addition:
" My family has been in the boat business in the US
since the early 1700's. Wood Wonder came about
in the mid 1940's. Dad built a bunch of 8' racers
for racing on a local lake. About fifty we think.
Also several runabouts and river boat, jon boats.
And a sail boat for me in 1949. I built my first
boat in 1958."
Also ditch the flower and get a boat pix, side view, to go with the header proportions! bill

Kimber is in charge of this, and the $#^#%$#
flower picture is a sore point. She says, women
will be the ones buying the clocks and they like
flowers and stuff like that..

Any way, it has a new picture and I need a new
wife, or not?

I am trying to keep the reading part down, remember
this is Arkansas and we all don't have twelve years
of schooling plumb through the sixth grade.

All the clocks I have on hand are on the site now,
get the credit cards out, the email thing is next.
The add comes out in the paper Wednesday.

Let me know if you see any big boo boos.

Default Just curious

This is a free site, Yes? Why not get another site and separate the clocks with the (flower) header, from the boats with the (boat) headers, They have nothing to do with eachother as far as someone searching for either, except made by the same great woodworker!
Hey more "free" advice! bill
BTW , (more cheap advice) ditch the "nobody" title you've assigned to yourself, it really doesn't fit. and put a nice boat pix or clock up as an avatar. You have every right to be proud of your work!
