Default Time Change

Yeah, y'all know and you've changed all the clocks, etc.

BUT...

Have you forgotten???

Help SWMBO to put up the dark winter drapes and curtains. Ya know, the ones that you took down in spring with the time change. With an hour less of daylight, you can put the dark ones back up and they won't fade.

On a darker note... Less daylight...

Please change the batteries in your smoke detectors and the alarm clock.

Who is SWMBO and why would you have drapes for the winter and others for the summer. At my house we are now in the Plantation Shutter phase and these are year round.

Default Almost forgot

Do you have to change (or re-authorize) your health care / benefit options?

The company I retired from pays for our dental coverage. HOWEVER I have to go in to their web site and re-authorize the deductions from the "Share Account" to pay for the coverage. They don't even warn you that this is required in the annual benefit notice. Sort of sleazy, but not surprising.

Personally... I don't like changing times. But I do like daylight savings...

I really don't mind winter in the northeast-
Snowmobiling, skiing, cold, even shoveling snow...

I don't like eating in the dark at 4 o'clock!
Cold is fine, but the dark wears on you by March.

I prefer to leave it on summer time!

Somehow, someway, I managed to set the clock ahead an hour. I'm special...

Set the clocks????? Don't remember the last time we had to do that. Change curtains?? With our intense sun, we leave 'em up till they fall apart.
As my dad in IL used to say "DST...hmpf...the cows still need fed and milked at the same time, so where's the savings?"

Until someone demonstrates a withdrawal of all this saved daylight I will continue to look at the whole thing as a bunch of crap.

NOTE: Withdrawals must be on my terms.

Default Bites me in the rear again.

Went to pick up LOML car after service.

As we're crossing over the freeway LOML says, "Not much Traffic".

Dealer says that the car will be ready in about an hour. I look at the clock and think "But it was after five in the truck". LOML says, "You didn't set the clock, did you?" Aw poop.

As we're walking back to the truck one of the dealership guys comes out and offers to help me to set the clock. Talking about adding insult to injury...
