Can't get to work so I'm working from home until the shop warms up. It's amazing how much damage a 1/4" of ice can do to the highways.

Yeah, I made the executive decision to not join the masses on the frozen interstate this morning. The wife was up at five thirty entertaining the little man until I got up. Then we traded posts so she could catch up on her sleep. So now I'm sitting here shopping for tire chains for the van while being buried by couch pillows by a sticky maple syrup fingered gremlin named Joe.

On a side note: these new tire chains are way slicker than the ones I remember my dad putting on his truck when I was a kid.

So it's true what they say about all you southerners...that you can't drive when it snows, huh? I've always heard that, but never believed it.

Best of luck to you guys and gals. We went through a rather nasty ice storm the week before Christmas. I never lost power, but there were tens of thousands around my locale that did. Hope it all works out for everyone.

Hey Smitty... You "damn yankees" should come down here (ok, "down there", since I'm now north of the MD) and try some figure skating with your old Delta 88s and LTDs... It ain't snow, Buddy... It is I - C - E ICE!!!!

(OK... a person from "up north" moves to the south and becomes a "Damn Yankee." What does a hillbilly from Arkansas become when he moves to Missouri? Still a "damn ol' hillbilly" I guess... )
