Default Speaking of Pumpkins

If you get "The Science Chanel", on November 2, there is a show called "Pumpkin Chunkin". The show covers an annual event where contestants see how far they can throw a "standard" pumpkin, intact. The current record is over 4400 feet. (Yeah, almost a mile.)

I've watched it for the last couple of years and it is interesting. The show has but one episode per year and is an hour long. I think that the event is held after Thanksgiving so the episode being shown covers the 2008 event.

Started right here in Delaware. A few farmers challenged each other to a duel, of sorts, after a few beers. It has really evloved into a national thing.
